My EFT journey
I was first introduced to Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) back in 2012 and worked with a practitioner, intermittently returning over the next decade.
It wasn’t until 2022 following a traumatic injury that left my body unable to function well and struggling with a cohort of complex ‘mysterious’ symptoms that I re-approached EFT like my life depended on it - because it really did!
Up until then, I had spent more than fourteen months struggling for my life, having lost the ability to work whilst trying every modality under the sun that might help me (I stopped counting at fourteen). My medical debt grew, as did my pain, despair and emotional isolation. This was all at the height of the pandemic, which just made everything all the more difficult.
Following countless (fruitless) medical appointments and tests, things finally took a turn for the better. Through a fusion of what I call the magic trifecta; SCIO (bioresonance therapy), QHHT (Quantum Hypnosis Healing Technique) and EFT, I slowly regained my health.
Through these therapies I was able to get the answers and information that I needed, and the expert technical and emotional support to overcome them. (Not to mention the validation that this was not in my head.)
It was during this period, when I was still in the hopeless ‘dark forest’ of my health situation and living remotely, having fallen from the peak of my physical health at age 32 to absolute rock bottom that I made a vow to the Universe - that if I were ever able to lead a ‘normal’ life again, I would dedicate myself to one more of the modalities that helped me, so I can be the beacon of light for others in overcoming their own insurmountable health challenges.
It was a very kismet happenstance that lead me to complete Level 1 training in EFT, closely followed by Level 2 in 2023. I received such validating and encouraging comments from my fellow students that some months later I committed to undertake the rigorous training with an EFT International approved mentor and master practitioner Annie O’Grady to certify to become a practitioner.
I commenced training in March of 2024 and simultaneously undertook the year-long MBA in EFT course from the renowned Tapping Training Institute in Washington, run by Dr. Craig Weiner (co-chairman of EFT international) and his wife Alina Craig, a renowned trainer of trainers.
I successfully received my both my MBA certification and Accredited Practitioner status with EFT International in 2025 and began building my small therapeutic business on the foundations of compassionate, trauma-informed practice, holding sessions both in person and online. (You can find me at a cozy group clinic at 33 Pirie Street, Adelaide).
There are many reasons I love EFT, primarily the way in which it illuminates the profound connection between physical illness and unresolved trauma in the body whilst providing a safe, gentle but very powerful method to healing it, too.
It is my life’s privilege that clients trust me with their stories and place their care in my hands. I find tremendous joy in using my lived experience, as well as diverse health knowledge to successfully decipher the unique tapestry of every client, and it is my mission to have each one of them leave my care with improved well-being and a trusted person to call upon if things ever get difficult again.
I really believe that it takes a village, or in this case a small team to bring health back to equilibrium if it is really off-kilter. I have a number of brilliant practitioners in other modalities who I refer clients to (strictly those who I am or have been a client of myself), to bring maximum benefit and the speediest recovery possible for anyone who walks through my doors. No matter what you are going through, know you are not alone.
My books are currently open.
